This is a log of work done on this site. It is a type of work diary.
It helps me keep track of what I have done and not done; why I did one thing versus something else; and so on. I'll stick it here online for no good reason.
The language will often be very terse, ungrammatical, and jargony. If you are an English teacher (such as my wife) you will find the language on these pages highly disturbing.
Journal pages are listed most recent first. Within pages entries are chronological.
There will usually be a link to my wife's travel log for that month, if you care to see where we were and what we were doing (from her point of view).
I have odd hours. I usually get up between 2:00 and 4:00 in the morning. After reading the morning news online, I'm usually working on this project by around 6:00 in the morning.
I take breaks for breakfast, to take Harry Cat outside for a while. Then back at it until somewhere between 10:00 and noon. If I'm really obsessing, or there's nothing else I want to do that day, I may put in two or three more hours in the afternoon.
As a rule I turn my computer off no later than 16:00. This removes temptation, and gives me a chance to wind down before my bed time. If I work through to my bed time, I have even more difficulty sleeping than usual. Sleep ... so many hours wasted!
I seem to average about half-time (maybe a little more) on this project. Somedays I put in a good twelve hours. Some days two or three. Some days none at all. I probably average around four hours a day, seven days a week. So: around 28 hours/week.
Nice easy schedule. I pound away at it in an obsessive and hyper-focussed manner for a few hours. Then, when my brain is getting fogged, I run errands, goof off, tour surrounding areas with my wife, etc.
